Pets are fostered in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. We do out of state adoptions, but we no longer arrange transport. 

Here is her story that deserves a happy ending.
This beautiful hound fended for herself for nearly 4 months and was too frightened
to come near anyone. The only thing we were able to do was to put food where
we hoped she would find it. Finally through a series of amazing opportunities
and hours of planning she was captured and has been in our care for five weeks.
“Sallie” is currently in a boarding facility, has all vaccinations and was spayed
just in time as she came in heat shortly after her capture. She is a beautiful,
gentle and smart girl, about 55 lbs and around 1 year old.

She does well on a
leash and takes care of her “business” while walking and not in her kennel. Sallie
likes other dogs, wants to play and has shown no interest in cats when she has
been near them. She has come a long way from her fearful state but sudden
movements and loud noises may still be an issue for a while and strangers are
still a worry for her. We have spent extra time with her most every day and she
is wagging her tail and prancing to greet us. We can tell she is ready and wants
to be in a loving home.
We know after all she has been through that she will make a wonderful and
appreciative friend to someone who will spend time with her, allow her to get
plenty of exercise in a secure environment and make her part of a family.
She deserves a happy home with that special someone who we hope will not
mind to keep in touch with us about her well being.
