Pets are fostered in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. We do out of state adoptions, but we no longer arrange transport. 

Dogs listed here have received a basic level of vet care including: vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies); bloodwork (heartworm test); deworm and deflea; spay or neuter; vet exam. Each pet comes with one free vet follow up consultation at Red Bank Vet Hospital. Fees requested at time of adoption help with a small part of the care provided, and are non-refundable. ***Meet Scout! She's a spayed female Australian cattle dog mix, about 8.5 or 9 years old and about 42 pounds. Scout has been with her family for 7 years after being found running around rural Ohio scared and alone. She is house broken, crate trained, and knows basic commands. She loves to walk and hike and has EXCELLENT off-leash recall. Scout is very intelligent with a strong herding instinct--she loves to fetch and herd and be exercised every day. Occasionally, Scout is anxious and unsure in new situations with new people and hides from loud noises. She would probably prefer to be in a home WITH another dog and a female human. She lives with cats, and while she may try to herd them she does not hurt them. Best to be in a home without small children- because Scout's instincts and a one-year old don't seem to mix well. As a bonus, Scout will cuddle and sleep in bed with you during cold weather. Scout is a sweet, loyal, smart dog with a big heart.
