Pets are fostered in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. We do out of state adoptions, but we no longer arrange transport. 

Lena is a very special girl, who lost her family to illness. This wonderful girl is now in foster care... and we already know a lot about her! Lena is smart, and leans quickly. Gentle and obedient. Gets along with other dogs. Fine with cats. Great on the leash. And totally housetrained. Lena does not prefer a crate (and may not need one) but she accepts sleeping in one and has yet to waken me at night. Crate is always dry in the AM. Lena would make a great pet for a first time dog owner, as there's not a lot she doesn't already know. I think she'd be fine in an apartment, too. 30#, 4 years old. I'm calling her a Jack Russell/ Whippet mix... but we really have no idea. **Dogs listed here have entered our program and have received a basic level of vet care including: vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies); bloodwork (heartworm test); deworm and deflea; spay or neuter; vet exam. Each pet comes with one free vet follow up consultation at Red Bank Vet Hospital. Fees requested at time of adoption help with a small part of the care provided, and are non-refundable.
