Pets are fostered in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio. We do out of state adoptions, but we no longer arrange transport. 

Cookie came into Ohio Hound Rescue in mid-May from a county shelter after being found as a stray. She is very sweet and loves to be with people. She does well with other dogs and would probably do best in a home with another young dog whom she can play with. Cookie is small in size but has the very affectionate and fun loving beagle personality. Cookie likes to be on someone's lap and sleeping in their bed. She enjoys the attention and petting. She loves walks, romping around the yard, and hanging out on her dog bed. Cookie is good on the leash but she can pull, particularly when she spots a bunny or squirrel which gets her very excited. Our preference is to find an adopter in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area or southwest Ohio as we typically do a home visit prior to adoption.
