About AJ: inDayton

AJ was born on St. Patrick’s Day in March of 2004. Although he was the runt of his litter at the time, he is now a large full-grown adult cat. He has a beautiful tuxedo short-haired coat. AJ is a cat like no other. He knows no stranger. He loves attention and often requires that he be at the center of it. From the time that he was 3 days old, he was constantly held and fed by a group of school kids. Because of this, he is a very affectionate cat. AJ could be described as petting his owner. Where AJ’s owner is, that is where he wants to be, too. AJ is also a very “talkative” cat. AJ currently lives with 2 other cats. He often interacts with them. He was fostered in a home with both dogs and children for several months and had no problems in this environment. The current owner expects that he could and would adjust well to other living environments. AJ “play” bites or nurses as a form of affection. This is a habit in cats that often comes from being weaned from nursing too early, as AJ was. He has never attacked or been observed acting in an aggressive manner in any way. He remains calm while having his toenails clipped every few weeks. AJ was fostered by his current owner when he was only about 3 days old. His mother gave birth to him in an RV. The owner of the RV drove off from the site unaware that the mother had birthed her kittens in the vehicle. He was bottle fed until he matured enough to eat for himself. He was tested to make sure that he did not have Feline Leukemia or Feline Aids. At the proper age, AJ was neutered and given a full round of routine shots. AJ has had vet check-ups at least once a year. He will receive his next round of shots on 1/10/09 and will be available for adoption after this time. His most recent vet records will accompany him to his new home. Along with these records, AJ will come to his new home with a large bag of his current food, a hardtop cat carrier and a new litter box. A potential adopter may arrange to “foster” AJ for a few days while deciding whether or not he is a good fit for the home. The adoption fee for this animal is $25. Contact Suzanne at 937-623-0454.
